Công đức của Phật A Di Ðà rất rộng lớn, là do lòng đại bi đại nguyện lợi tha. Ngài đành bỏ tất cả ngôi sang cao quí, nguyện tu hành khi thành Phật, ở trên một cảnh giới huy hoàng trang nghiêm, để tiếp độ chúng sinh. Trải qua một thời gian được kết quả, y báo, chánh báo xuất hiện rực rỡ như lời Ngài đã thệ nguyện. Phật tử chúng ta, từ hồi nào đến bây giờ, biết niệm danh hiệu Phật A Di Ðà, biết được pháp môn niệm Phật cầu sinh Cực lạc (Tịnh độ) là nhờ đức Phật Thích Ca ta chỉ dạy.
